With yearly reminders you won’t get caught out by forgetting your MOT renewal date.

We will send out a yearly reminder by email or SMS, to our customers who have had their cars MOT tested with us – this reminder is sent out approximately one month before the due date so it gives you plenty of time to plan a visit to us into your schedule.

About the MOT

Any car registered for use on the road in the EC must pass some kind of mechanical and emissions test – known in the UK as the ‘MOT’, after the old Ministry of Transport.
In the UK cars must be Tested at the end of their third year (if imported, measured from date of manufacture), and yearly after that.

If you have a car that is more than 3 years old it will need an MOT test each year to ensure that it meets at least the minimum road safety and environmental standards.

The MOT test relates only to the condition of the testable items at the time of the test – It should not be regarded as evidence of the condition of the items tested at any other time nor should it be taken as evidence of the general mechanical condition of the vehicle.

If the chip on your windscreen is no bigger than a credit card, we can usually repair it.

A repaired windscreen will be as strong as it was before it got damaged. You’ll save the expense of a replacement windscreen and you will help to protect the environment by repairing and not replacing.

Repairing the chip will improve the appearance of your car and although it won’t completely disappear, a repair will be virtually invisible. Our windscreen repair workmanship is guaranteed to pass the MOT and last for as long as you own the vehicle.

There are a few rules which we need to abide to when repairing Windscreens, so please pop in to allow us to see the chip – we’ll be able to tell you there and then if the repair can go ahead.

We can offer a range of services dependant upon your needs. Our equipment utilizes the following recovery methods:

• Lift Tow (Underlift)

The lift tow is the most common modern method for short distance transportation, and the one which we will use if the total weight is under 3 tonnes.

• Transportation (Total Lift)

If your vehicle is completely immobilized, we have a low-loading Transporter available – this is our preferred method for longer distance transportation.

Give us a call to discuss your needs and we will be happy to advise you on the best transportation method.

As a special offer, if we tow your vehicle to our Garage for repairs then there will be no charge for the recovery.
